Step Forward Activities is an accredited Qualified Rehabilitation Facility serving the needs of individuals with varying levels of ability, most of whom experience mental retardation or developmental disabilities. So what does that mean?  It means that we are in the “family” business. 

At Step Forward Activities we believe in empowering people. In order to do that you have to be sensitive to the different needs of those around you. Our staff is committed to the success of all our clients.

The services offered by Step Forward are varied and diversified to better meet the needs of the people we serve, and are flexible in order to accommodate their individual needs and personal development. Our staff is regularly trained in new practices to ensure that we maintain our high level of care. The services provided by Step Forward Activities include but are not limited to vocational training and work development, personal care, individual development, personal independence, and relationship building. It is important for us to teach our clients the skills necessary to lead the fullest life possible. 

Step Forward Activities offers training, support, and individual enrichment through the operation of six group homes and two vocational training centers. Each home is designed to replicate a family life style environment, and the vocational centers are designed to replicate all aspects and responsibilities of gainful employment. We provide the skills that are necessary from both a social and economic level so that our clients have the opportunities they deserve. That can come in the form of group training as well a one-on-one.
